WHILE GIRLS JV VOLLEYABLL DOMINATES MAAYANOT, VARSITY GIRLS FALL IN STRAIGHT SETS

From the get-go the JV girls volleyball dominated the match. Although it was the first match of the year for the Sting, they displayed confidence and controlled the pace of the match throughout the night, as a result of converting on both their serves and slams. Led by star player Hayley Yurowitz, the Sting defeated the Rapids in straight sets, starting their season 1-0. 

While the JV squad had no issue with Mayaanot, the Varsity team miserably struggled. Due to the dominant performance from Mayaanot's Talia Kupferman, the Sting could never get in rhythm. Despite efforts from Seniors Sylvia Scheiner and Yael Weitzner, the Sting fell short of a comeback as they were defeated by the Rapids in straight sets.
