January 6th, 2014- In its first game back since winter break, SAR JV Boys Basketball defeated MTA, 41-38, at the YU gym. Though it led for most of the game, SAR was never able to break away with a large lead and MTA kept chipping back. Led by Rafi Kubersky's 13 points, including all 8 of the team's points in the 3rd quarter, SAR saw an 11-point halftime lead dissipate. However, in the fourth, the Sting put the defensive clamps on the Lions in the final minutes and Eitan Hain hit two very clutch free throws on a one and one, widening the one point lead to three with only a few ticks left on the clock. Dovie Marcus scored 8, including two 3-pointers in the first quarter to get the SAR offense going.
