January 7th, 2014- Varsity Girls Volleyball defeated Bruriah High School on Tuesday night by a score of 25-20, 25-13, 25-15. This game was the final home game for the seven seniors- Denna Woloshin, Rachel Weintraub, Ariana Shimoff, Rebecca Klestzick, Noa Stein, Laura Smerling, and Ruby Toledo, and Coach Gryzlo could not have been happier with how it went down. As Gryzlo put it, "Everyone contributed to the wonderful win", with no one player standing out. Unlike some sports, it's nearly impossible for a single player to win a game of volleyball for their team. Teamwork is of utmost importance, and the Sting's performance on Tuesday bodes well for them as the season progresses.
Once again, congratulations to all the seniors, and thank you for all the time and energy you invested to help out your teammates!
The team now stands at 4-3. Their next game is on January 16th at Ramaz.
