JV Boys Hockey vs. TABC

November 7, 2013- The SAR JV Boys Hockey team was victorious over TABC 3-2 in what Sam Soff said was an "insane" game. In the middle of the first period, a loose ball bounced off of the wall behind the TABC net and Solomon Frielich scored on the rebound. The second period was scoreless. Just thirty seconds after the opening faceoff of the third, The Storm struck, scoring on a wicked play. The ball was in the corner and their player got it, spun, shot and scored. In the middle of the third TABC was penalized, but SAR countered deconstructively by receiving a penalty of their own, making it 3 on 3 hockey. During the 3 on 3 the ball knocked off of their goalies' pads and Sophomore Josh Rosenberg scored to put SAR ahead 2-1. But again, a costly penalty put SAR two men down, and TABC capitalized, tying it up 2-2. With just two and a half minutes left in the game, Solomon Freilich received the ball again and ripped it on goal for his second goal of the night to put his team up 3-2. Penalties seemed to be the story even at the end, as with 45 seconds left, SAR committed a tripping penalty. The power play did however manage to hold up, and SAR closed the game out and came home with the huge upset victory.
