October 31, 2013- Varsity Girls Basketball opened their regular season with a tough 29-24 loss to HAFTR.
The Lady Sting got themselves in an early hole, trailing 16-7 at halftime. However, the team had a strong 3rd quarter, outscoring HAFTR 10-4 to cut the deficit to 20-17. However, that was as close as they'd get, as HAFTR had a strong 4th quarter to seal the victory.
Samantha Hollenberg led the Lady Sting with 12 points, and sophomores Dahlia Fischer and Leah Shulman scored 6 and 4 points, respectively.
