November 25th, 2013- After playing four games on the road to start the season, Varsity Girls Basketball returned to Riverdale in style, easily defeating HANC 64-28. The Lady Sting jumped out to a 21-5 lead after one quarter and never looked back, leading 34-8 at the half, and finishing with a dominant 36-point win.
SAR had a well-balanced offensive attack, with nine of the twelve players scoring. Junior forward Rebecca Packer led all scorers with 12 points, senior Avital Goldstein scored 10 points, and sophomore Dahila Fischer recorded nine points and had another dominant defensive effort.
Albert led HANC with eight points, and Fellus chipped in with seven in the loss.
The Lady Sting now sport a four-game winning streak. Their next game is on December 11th against Kushner.
