In their first and only exhibition game against Central,the SAR Girls JV team had to shake off some first game jitters but still managed to take a 12-7 lead into the half. After halftime SAR picked up the intensity on the defensive end, forcing turnovers and converting them into baskets, out-scoring Central 14-2 in the quarter. SAR continued their defensive dominance in the fourth quarter holding Central again to only 2 points as they went on to win 30-11. This was an all around team effort by SAR led by Rebecca Kann with 9 points and Helena Dweck with 6 points.
The Girls JV Sting open their regular season at home on Thursday night against Westchester at 7:30.
