Look ahead at Varsity Wrestling

October 29, 2013- The SAR Sting Varsity wrestling team will be competing in the South Plainfield Fall Wrestling Classic for the second consecutive year. Last year, the team, led by Coach Ron Simchi, did not bring home any gold medal finishes. However, fresh off of a second place finish in Yeshiva University's Whittenberg Wrestling Tournament, and with a crop of highly talented seniors at its disposal, SAR looks to rebound big time this year. The new program, only in its third year as a varsity sport, has taken great strides, and is now one of the school's finest. With committed wrestlers from every grade, the team is bound to be successful for years to come. Seniors Josh Shaw and Kevin "KD" Danishevsky, leaders of the team since the program's genesis, are ready to bring home a banner this year for the Sting. All eyes will especially be on the team when the boys take the mat at this year's Whittenberg Tournament.  Follow their progress at the only place for SAR Sting News, the Sting Sports Update.
